College SAT Test Prep

Getting into the right college is no accident and College Tutors’ Test Prep tutoring can help.  Our Test Prep – based on Summit Educational Group‘s proven prep curriculum – outlines the four sections of the SAT; including over 30 lessons, supporting homework, prep work, mini-practice sessions and two full-length Practice Tests.

Emphasis on each subject area is determined by the strengths and needs of the individual student, using Summit Group’s Practice Test Score Analysis as a baseline.  Tutoring is conducted in a one-on-one environment in our Learning Centers.  Typical program sequencing is:

  • Practice Test (baseline) with diagnostic score and gap analysis
  • Foundational Lessons:  8 sessions/16 lessons/12 hours of foundational SAT tutoring
  • 2nd Practice Test  to measure progress and determine needed adjustments
  • Advanced Lessons:  6 sessions/12 lessons/9 hours of tutoring to focus on more challenging areas of the SAT
  • Final Test Prep: 2 Sessions/3 hours of tutoring for final preparation
  • Real SAT Test

College Tutors Test Prep is a framework, with a curriculum that is directly mapped in detail to the subjects tested on the SAT exam.  Every student completes the entire curriculum but the pace and prioritization of lesson material is customized to the individual student’s aptitude for the various subjects.   Each one-on-one lesson consists of subject-specific instruction, directly followed by observation of the student completing related material to confirm the student’s comprehension.  Essential to a successful outcome is the follow-up to each session: homework to reinforce lesson material and student-selected and scored sectional practice exams.  The sectional practice exams confirm comprehension of material, uncover gap areas, and help to acclimate the student to the actual SAT exam.  Students who achieve their SAT score targets consistently complete homework and sectional practice exams.  The homework Supporting material (bought separately) includes two Student Course Books and the Official SAT Study Guide:
